Here is my stamping experience. My case is little complicated. I hope it helps poeple who are in the same situation.
I have graduated in May 2006 and Ive been on OPT until May 2007. After that I enrolled into another program in my school for Fall semester and I have registered for my CPT. My h1 start date is Oct1st 2007. I had to come for stamping as my change of status has been denied. And also I was directed to chennai consulate for the stamping. My attorney told that I could directly go to Canada/Mexico.
This is how the actual interview went.
VO: Have you been on F1 before?
Me: Yes
VO: When did you graduate?
Me: in 2006
VO: So you worked for this company on OPT?
Me: Yes
VO: For How Long?
ME: Told
VO: What is the designation and job description?
Before I explained about it she asked for my index finger print.
VO: Can I see your employment letter
gave it.
VO: This is 6 months old can I see your recent paystubs(Aug/Sep).
gave it.
VO: I have authorized your visa come and pick up your passport tomorrow.
She dint ask anything about my second masters nor about change of status. I guess having very recent paystubs really helped and she dint have to go deep into my details.
Have all kind of documents in hand(Best source of confidence). Try to take most recent employment letter. Paystubs are more important I guess. All the best. ---My 2 cents out of my experience.
