I stayed at motel 6 in san ysidro on 23rd night and crossed the border on 24th morning at 7:30 AM. I didn't take mexico visa and there was nobody to check.
Time Schedule:
7:40 Am - Took the cab from the border to Banamex bank
9:05 AM - Received the visa fee receipt
9:15 AM - Reached to US consulate and joined the queue
9:20 AM - DS 156, 157 documents were verified by a front desk person
9:25 Am - Passed the security check
9:30 AM - Joined the queue for finger prints
9:50 AM - Waiting for the interview
9:55 Am - Intervew started
10:02 Am - Interview completed and was told to come back at 3:00 PM
3:00 PM - Entered the consulate thru a security check
3:50 PM - Received the passport
4:15 PM - was at the border
4:30 Pm - Joined the POE queue
5:35 PM - Received the I - 94
6:50 PM - Entered US
Interview Questions:
1. How long have you been workin w/ X company
2. How many employees
3. What is the client
4. Do you have client ID card
5. What is your project and role
6. Company offer letter
7. Pay stub
Tips:
1. Mexico visa is not mandatory
2. Take $1 bills for taxi, visa fee (approx. 102$) and I-94 fee at POE
3. You can kill the time in plaza RIO and cinepolis
4. If you want to see a movie in Cinepolis, ask for english movies at the ticket counter. There are some english movies w/ spanish subtitles
