I had succesful first H1B visa stamping at Delhi Consulate on June 22. My experienece was super kool. I am a F1->OPT->H1B case.
Heres my interview details:
VO: Good Morning Sir, and how are you doing this morning?
Amber: I am doing good, Thank you and how about yourself Sir?
VO: Doing good. Thanks.
While greeting, I handed over to him the set of papers that were prepared in Document check queue at the consulate office.
VO: H1B application. So, have you been to US before?
Amber: Yes Sir. I did my Masters in US on F1 visa.
(VO checked my F1 visa in my passport and read my university name loudly”. He kept reading something from his computer and typed stuff like H1B applicant, etc.)
VO: So, how long have you been working with this company?
Amber: About a year and half
VO: Did you find this job on your OPT?
Nami: Yes, Sir I found this job on my OPT.
VO: Ok, I approve your H1B visa and your passport and other documents would be couriered to you shortly.
Amber: Thank you very much Sir.
DONE!!!
So my advice is dont be disheartened if you read many scary articles. Make sure you are well prepared with each and every document, some regular quesions. Be confident and cool.
