Interview Mumbai consulate at 8:30am scheduled but was interviewed at 10:00am
First time stamping
My case F1-->CPT--->H1
Also did not fill up my ds156 and ds157 correctly. So took corrected forms at interview .
VO:Good morning(Looking at my DS 156 and DS 157)
me: Good morning mam . I have come with corrections to submitted ds156 and ds157
VO:okay tell me the corrections
me: 8 and 12 on ds 157 (Mentioned the corrections)
VO: thats completely different
me: Yes mam. Do u want the corrected form instead (handing over the corrected ds157)
VO: yes that would be easier.
VO: Is that all?
me: I have corrections for DS 157 also
VO: okay tell me
me: 21 , 21, 25, 26, 27. 28.29, 36
VO: Thats a lot of corrections
me: Yes mam. My i797b was approved for consular approval So I had to make some changes which my lawyer told me
after I had already submitted those forms at the consulate
VO: okay..do u have the corrected copy?
me: Yes mam (handing it over to her)
VO: okay now we are set finally (Smiling)
me: Yes we are.
VO: You want to work in the states?
me: Yes
VO: Looks like you went on F1 .Did you complete your masters?
me: No I did not. I joined company A as an intern and they filed my H1b so have been on h1 since then
VO: What was your field for Studying masters?
me: MSEE
VO:How long have you been working in USA?
me: 2 years
VO: How many employees does your company have?
me: 11
VO: Just 11. That seems really low.?
me: It's a startup and it received round A funding of xx millions dollars 3 months ago.
VO: Wow! That's impressive. Who funded the company?
me: gave the name of the people
VO: So what do you do?
me: I work as xxx and explained my job duties and responsibilities
VO:What does the company exactly do?
me: explained her the needful
VO: Looks like you had taken a previous visa date and did not show up..why?
me: I was working for company A and was laid off. So my lawyer advised me to not leave USA and find a job instead to keep my status legal in USA
VO: Which company you joined? How did u end up in the current company?
me: Joined company B. Got a project in company C . Worked as a consultant for C through B. C liked my work and filed my H1b and so I am with C now
VO: How long were you with B?
me: 14 days.
VO: Thats such a short time.When did u join the C?
me: Yes since they filed my H1b i joined C, I joined them from xxx date.
VO: Okay your passport will be couriered to your home address in 2 days. Have a nice day(Hands me the 1797 B upper copies)
me: thank you mam. You too have a nice day.

thank you so much....that was really helpful....i made some mistakes on my submitted ds 157 but now i know how to deal with it....
